Situation 

Cornhusker Bank currently has 7 locations in Lincoln, Nebraska and they have plans to grow. Most of these locations offer full-service ATMs and Cornhusker Bank sees the potential of enhancing the customer experience with self-service options. 

Their planned growth along with Windows 10 ATM upgrade requirements led to a strategy with a breadth of solutions and offerings encompassing conventional banking equipment, reliable security, innovative technology and solid maintenance services options. With the goal of branch transformation, it was important to Cornhusker to partner with a company that has comprehensive solutions. 

Because their previous vendor had limited resources in their area to meet their needs and demands, Cornhusker was pleased to connect with NuSource.   

Solution

Cornhusker’s first step toward branch efficiencies was a maintenance services agreement with NuSource. This plan covered their current conventional banking equipment (drive-up pneumatic tubes, deal draw and vault drawer) and their ATM fleet. 

As a small community bank, expenses and resources are prioritized. This factored into their next step – an ATM option that would be Windows 10 compatible now and offer the ability to deploy ITM technology in the future. Cornhusker converted all ATMs to Hyosung’s Hybrid ATMs. They anticipate ITM self-service functionality to be in use on these machines by 2021.  

Their new fleet includes maintenance services along with NuView Patch Management to maximize resources. The remote capabilities provide the security Cornhusker was seeking.

Success

Prior to NuSource, maintenance services were cost-prohibitive. Now, the investment is cost effective and provides Cornhusker peace of mind. With this partnership, they have experienced reduced operating costs and diminished stress on office resources.

NuSource’s designated Project Manager was an added benefit. Cornhusker was satisfied knowing their project had a point-person who worked with the contractors on installations and kept the project moving forward.
